Eye of the beholder

I was helping a colleague and while waiting, I saw something like this on the bulletin board at an undisclosed location: "No ogling, leering or staring, etc." The bottom line was: Perception is their reality. I reject that. In that case, I can make a Doctor out of a bum.

Just for the sake of argument, what if I wear sunglasses, what if I am blind, and, what if I am actually looking at that snake poised on an overhanging limb about to strike. No one, I repeat, no one can claim or know what another person is looking at. More than that, in public, anyone is free to look wherever and at whatever they choose. This is America. If some private place wants to behave like fantasyland, that is their choice, but not in public.

I would like replies this week, especially from women.

Right to Carry

There are now about 38 to 40 states that issue Right to Carry identification cards. Some governors vetos have been overridden by their legislatures. Of course, a security background check is required as well as a certified safety course and proof of competency. Personal protection in one's home is a part of the second amendment and an inherent right to defend oneself from bodily harm.

The question now is: Will other states reciprocate (like New York) just like some homosexuals who want other states to recognize their "marriage".

The next big issue coming in the next decade will be the Right to Work. Right now, about half the states do not require a person to contribute to an unwanted Union for the priviledge of working. A national Right to Work as well as a national Right to carry law may be needed soon.

Democrats and Social Security

It is the Democrats who have "spent up" our Social Security trust fund.
- a summary-

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent "Trust" fund and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate around 1964.
--------------------
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party. I remember this, still have my old returns to prove it.
--------------------
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.

-------------------and for "todays" hot button issue...

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?

A: Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments. The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
------------------- Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violation of the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

This type of lying deception is immoral. The Truth will prevail if enough people are not afraid to say it and pass the word. Don't let them steal everything good citizens have worked for. Vote.

I intentionally used red to highlight the Democratic Party.

Vote is in: 256-153

Democrats do not support the war. Good news. Now the voters will have a clear choice. No hiding behind desks or under rocks. The mid-term election is about 139 days away. We will see what the real Americans think of this issue when millions go to the polls, the real polls.

More killed in training

than in our entire Global War on Terror Combat Operations.

In 1980, there were 117 noncombat deaths per 100,000 service members -- about 2,390 deaths per year (emphasis added for clarity) out of 2.05 million service members. In 1996, there were 68 noncombat deaths per 100,000 servicemembers -- 1,020 noncombat deaths out of 1.5 million servicemembers. Of those, 228 service members died in privately owned vehicle accidents and 190 service members committed suicide. That is, per year, less that the 2,500 number touted by the liberals on the airways today.-- AFIS news, linked here.

The comment about the green zone in Baghdad has an analogous no go zone in Washington, D. C.
Hopefully after Badhdad has been made safer, our National Guard Troops can clean up our own Nation's Capitol!

The Truth: While on a TDY to Phoenix, Arizona, a friend of mine was walking just four blocks from the convention center. A patrol car stopped, a Phoenix policeman got out and told him,
"you better walk back to the center, it's not safe here and we can't protect you"!

Flag Day -- June 14th

Today is Flag day in the United States of America mine is out and I am wearing a lapel pin. Yesterday, we voted in primary elections here in South Carolina. The Republicans outvoted the Democrats by about a 2:1 ratio.

Castle Defense

Last Friday, our Governor, Mark Sanford signed the Castle Defense law which not only allows law abiding citizens to defend themselves, but protects them from "ambulance chasers" who attempt to paint criminals, felons and gangs as the victims! He also signed a law preventing the police from taking away law abiding citizens from defending themselves with a gun if they wish in an emergency.

Parade

quote, "we believe Rove's Mission is impossible. Because the public is so angry with the GOP-controlled Congress, we see the Republicans losing the House...."

The Truth: Nancy Pelosi on CNN in July of 2004 which I saw in Mosul Iraq dining facility: " I guarantee that John Kerry will be in the White House and the Democrats will control the House..."

The Facts: In South Carolina, voting in primaries has just about completely reversed the voting preferences of the citizens in the last 20 years. In 1986, 4.7% voted in the Republican Primary while 28.6% voted in the Democratic. In 2002, 19.2% voted in the Republican Primary while 5.7% voted in the Democratic. I will not speculate on tomorrow's results, but I will bet the Parade staff $100 that the Republicans will outpoll the Democrats. Any takers at the Parade on this November for $100? I think not. This is yet another example of Bias in the Media.

The above facts are from the S. C. Election Commission and you can link to Parade in the dots.

U.N. GITMO report 'incredibly inaccurate'

Thomas L. Bock, American Legion National Commander actually visited the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as opposed to merely talking with detainees, who are our enemy.

From 6-9 Feb, 2006, he visited Camp Delta and toured the cells. He found: GITMO detainees receive a variety of meal choices and upwards of 4,200 calories a day. Some of the detainees engaged in a hunger strike and were force-fed by feeding tubes. Recently they faked a hanging and attacked the guards. In my opinion, they should have been shot on site, but, thanks to the great U. N. Commission on Human Rights including Cuba-communist, China-communist, Sudan-slave traders, Saudi Arabia-hotbed for Al-Quaeda, and other nations not knows for compassionate treatment of prisoners they would have highlighted a death there as evidence of 'inhumaine' treatment and the MSM would have run the story for months!

"The U. N. researchers should have talked with survivors of the Hanoi Hilton, the German stalags, North Korean prisons, or Japanese prison camps during those wars to understand the real definition of maltreatment." -- Thomas Brock, American Legion Commander

"The treatment given to these men who have vowed to destroy America... far exceeds standards set forth by the Geneva Conventions." -- John Raughter

June 6 -- D-Day

Today, 62 years ago the United States Military began an invasion of Fortress Europe. It is also our wedding Anniversary, 37 years ago.

Two days ago, if we can believe the Communist Chinese, somewhere around 3,000 civilians were killed by their own government for standing in Tiannamen Square, but you won't read this on their official site.

You will have to go here, or
many images here to find The Truth.
This lone man held up the killings
for about 30 minutes:

Today's date is 6/6/06 not VI/VI/VI.

Illegal Aliens are Criminals

Michael Graham has an excellent, personal account about the differences between legal and illegal immigrants. His parents are members of the Sunday School I attend. This is personal.

For all the talk about amnesty and compassion, read the link to Michael Graham and what he thinks about our Senior Senator, Lindsay Graham! Leave a comment. This is a good one.

Uniform Code of Military Justice -- UCMJ

This code of laws, approved by congress outlines the rules by which those who voluntarily enlist in our military and take the oath to defend our country from enemies, both foreign and domestic, contain consequences more punishing and restrictive than those in the civilian world.

However, there are many who are ignorant of this. I suggest anyone not familiar with the term UCMJ click the link associated with the title above. In any operation involving human beings, there will be differences of opinion as to what course of action should have been taken.

Those who engage in this type of speculation are what many call Monday Morning Quarterbacks. These people are so quick to condemn, but are afraid to even think about doing similar work themselves. In my opinion, they are cowards. Enlist, help our country, or shut up.
