Flag Day -- June 14th
Today is Flag day in the United States of America mine is out and I am wearing a lapel pin.
Yesterday, we voted in primary elections here in South Carolina. The Republicans outvoted the Democrats by about a 2:1 ratio.

This Flag Day, my Sea Scout color guard and I to part in the Bear Flag raising ceremony on the Plaza in Sonoma, California. Few people know this but the California Republic was declared on June 14, 1846 and the Bear Flag was raised on the same day as Flag Day. It was a great ceremony.
