IRS charges 104% interest

Even I was surprised to calculate this.

The Truth:  I have been audited three times in my life since 1963 when I first filed income taxes.

Once I got $20 back, once $4,000+ and this last time I owed $300.  All were honest errors.

Now, as you can see, I am not complaining, especially considering the $4,000 "refund" a few years ago.

This time, there was a $26 interest charge for each month (if paid by May 28th).  The notice was dated 28 April.  Lets do the math:  26 x 12 months = $312 for the year (non compounded);

divided by the principle, $300 yields a whopping 1.04 or 104% for the year. 

Public Education funding

I learned that most funding for "public school" education came from local sources in 1968 during my undergraduate studies at The University of South Carolina Education Department.

Who would know by listening to certain national candidates for President. The federal Department of Education drains $80 some Billion dollars annually.   They insult teachers at local schools in my opinion as well as my observations I had with these people during my teaching career.

If one were not paying attention, that last amount is the Federal Government's contribution to Public School Education along with contributions by individuals, groups such as PTAs, PTOs and others.

All these people "running off at the mouth" about how the federal government is 'here to help' are not much more than bags of wind.

Internet access

Many times a year I read articles how the poor are unable to connect to the internet and how this is holding them back. Maybe.
Facts: Reference American Journal of Health Education of all things. I am a lifetime member of AAHPER. I review professional literature because my organizations follow scientific research protocols. On page 109 of the March/April copy, Access Speed Disparities, 2005 are printed. There appears to be a significant difference between those who live in a Household making $30,000 or less vs $30,000-49,999 and higher. The breakdown between Dial-up and Broadband appears to be evenly split in each group that has access except the Age 65+ group! The average access appears to be about 75% overall.
What was not surveyed was: what was done on the computer(s).

Personally, I finished about twenty FEMA courses on the free EMI site.
I also just recently passed my FAA Private Pilot Knowledge test which took about three months of home study for a cost of $16.

Jimmy Carter strikes again

I just heard a good explanation of yet another socialist-democratic scheme that on it's face seems good, but in the end is hitting hard on banks and the economy.

Namely, the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 signed by then President "Jimmy" Carter. He was the first president to officially campaign on a nickname. I also remember inflation around 20% during his administration, his bailout of a private corporation. Chrysler received a $1 billion cash aid. This was the first time in the history of the USA that a private corporation got what I would call "welfare", but that was the going trend back in his hippy days.

Now our economy is suffering from Jimmy's welfare program of allowing anyone to get a government backed loan regardless of their ability to repay. If a social-democrat is elected, we will be well on our way to communism as the US takes on all these defaulted loans and continues to give money to those who will not work to repay them.

There was a YouTube link from Michelle Malkin's Website. There is a place for comments. I wrote a question, asking if she would open her records at the white house to prove her experience. It was not posted. This is not censorship, but does reveal The Truth about Hillary and her crowd.

Reminds me of a Football coach we played for several years. The first year they beat us 44-0. Our team had just 12 players, but they all enjoyed just playing. We learned sportsmanship, hard work and honesty. The next year we beat them by about 4 points. After the game, they were cheering!? The coach had convinced them that they had won (the scoreboard was not working). The next year they did not field a team. I asked him why he had no team (both schools had about the same attendance numbers). He said that we had different philosophies. I have never forgotten his reply. In other words, either beat your opponent by a big score, try to fool yourself and others that you have won, or simply not participate.

Family

The family is the core of our existence. There are many who advocate that government become our family. They are wrong.

I took some of our family to see a living nativity at Union Methodist Church in Irmo, SC a week or so ago. Just as the sun went down, one, then another man in armor on a horse rode up and down the line of cars that stretched for about a mile to see the scenes surrounding Christ's birth. Those soldiers on horses and several others reminded me quite well of the atmosphere that existed at Jesus Christ's birth.

The Romans were in charge. They had power of life or death at their whim.

The family of Joseph and Mary held together because of a strong belief in God.

Other families have survived because of that same belief. It is also what kept the Hungarian families together as well as The Truth of their history and that communism is made up of lies. Joseph Stalin was a criminal who murdered millions of his own people.

The reason for the season for us is to celebrate Jesus Christ's birth.

Tire Pressure

I will try to make this short. A week or two ago, I got a frantic call while away from home. A warning light that looked like this:
(( ! )) came on. It looked similar to this: ( ! ). The first is the brake light warning and the second is the low tire air pressure. After a few days and several hours I found out that:
1. The dealership did not know what the parameters for setting off the warning light were.
2. Incorrectly identified the wheel (tire) causing the warning light to illuminate
3. Told a story (lied) about which tire was the cause, did not check the spare and did not know that the spare could indeed cause the warning light to illuminate

The answers are: 5 psi difference between the highest and lowest pressure readings will cause a warning and that includes any of the five wheels (tires). The sensors are in the wheels themselves. The dealership reported 32 psi all around. The actual pressures were: 30, 30, 30, and 33. I took the car, a Toyota Highlander Limited V6 to another automotive location and they discovered that the pressure in the spare was: 28 psi. Ah Ha!! 33-28=5 !

All this was understood because I went to school when Math was taught as a discipline, not as "fuzzy or "everyday math".

All these unnecessary warning lights were caused because a few drivers did not understand or were too lazy to check their air pressures in SUVs driven in the South West United States a few years ago. Now all of us must suffer this unnecessary, redundant and over simplification which turned into unknown by even dealerships that sell the product!

Not dodging bullets in Iraq

Standing next to me in Mosul, Iraq is a real hero. I will call him Ahmed. He risked his life and that of his family to work on the Air Base there. He gave me his medal that Sadam gave him in 1988 when they "won" their war with Iran. In actuality, no one won, but about 2.1 Million soldiers were killed. There is no account of how many civilians were killed, but perhaps some liberals might want to look into that question.

The Truth: Twice in the last month, shots have been fired at a small coffee shot-type restaurant that I go to chat with some men my own age. Several large windows have been replaced and the last time, a bullet hole could clearly be seen. This is in America! Not Iraq!! See the link below:

I will not attend Neal's funeral if he were to be caught in the crossfire here, or in: East St. Louis, Detroit, Oakland, anywhere in Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland (cabbage hill) or numerous US Cities including our own "green zone" in Washington, D. C.

Not once while in a war zone in Mosul, Iraq did I see evidence of small arms fire in over four months there. That is The Truth.

Schoolchildren

Schoolchildren modify a person's name when they have nothing good to say about a person and can not win an argument with logic. In reality, children can not usually solve logical problems until reaching adolesence, and then only if they have not been poisoned with drugs. These type people were prevalent during the 1960s communist influence and drug induced activities in the USA and elsewhere in the world.



Our all-volunteer Army, Airforce, Marines, Navy and Coast Guard are doing quite well absent the children and drugged folks that were prevalent during the 1970s.

Helpless in New Orleans

Perhaps an old story, but one that seems destined to drag on for decades. Some "victims" are still living in lavish motels on my taxpayer supported money and may still be living there a decade or more from now.

We have all heard and seen the lies by the main-stream media about how "George Bush" caused the hurricane and even blew up levies and "left people to die"! Lies. The local "authorities" were responsible for leaving the victims.

Now for more Truth: Just this last weekend, I met with a volunteer group of pilots. Several of them said that they flew to New Orleans the day after the story passed. Over four hundred (400) private planes with pilots donated their time, money and aircraft to assist in emergency evacuation like the English did for Dunkirk.

ONLY THIRTY (30) AIRCRAFT WERE EVER USED

One pilot said, "after waiting three days -- THREE DAYS !! -- most finally said that if they were not needed, they were going home." The one pilot then said, "they finally gave me a dog. A DOG! He flew it to some "shelter" in another state.

These people did not want to be helped. They would then have lost their "victim" status and would forfit their "right" to complain. They are children:

They are not adults, nor do they or probably never will. It is much easier "playing" the child who can complain and never be responsible for his or her actions.

GIVE WAR A CHANCE

That was on his T-shirt. A member of my old Air Traffic Control Squadron. They had a get-together and I was an invited retired guest.

A stranger just had to comment.
It came so fast that it almost caught me off guard. Three of us were talking in a "public house" restaurant. He said something like, "where have you been?" I replied loudly as he strolled off, I guess too impolite to wait for a reply, "In AMERICA!"

These people are liberals. They are impolite at best and obnoxious at worst. Unhinged: Exposing Liberals Gone Wild by Michelle Malkin does a very good job of documenting the worst behaviors including assault and worse.

I have seen quite a few T-shirts that I would have liked to comment on to the person's face, but usually their family is around.

The real message is that we were attacked on 9/11/01 and are going after the cowardly enemy that attacked us. They are worse than the JAPS who at least had uniforms, but did not declare war on the USA, nor followed the Geneva Convention rules of war. The Germans at least did that for the most part, treating our POWs with dignity.

I am a Christian and will be glad to give peace a chance when others stop attacking and killing Americans and other innocent civilians around the world. Communists have killed over one hundred million innocent civilians. They still are the worst.

Corporate Welfare

a friend of mine keeps saying that tax adjustments for corporations is corporate welfare. I disagree, and his words have stuck with me for a few years. Now I have an answer for him:

Corporate Welfare is:

Providing cheap workers today in exchange for shifted expenses thirty years from now.

ILLEGAL ALIENS are an example of corporate welfare.

Greatest Father's Day

This Sunday, I spent time with my wife, our youngest son and grandson. We had a wonderful time. At two years old, he is happy, full of life and loved by his father, mother and grandparents. This is what a family is.

I was also very pleased to see Mike Nifong finally receive justice. He intentionally smeared the reputations of three loved children to advance his own political career. Not much different from the Clintons. On several occasions similar despicable characters have tried to associate themselves with me. I refused. I walked away and told them to stay away. These people exist in this world. They have been around since Cain slew Able.

I truly hope that this indictment by the North Carolina Bar and Nifong's disbarrment will finally turn this politically correctness around. A lie is just that and The Truth speaks for itself. "Nifong's early comments about the case – which included a confident proclamation that he would not allow Durham to become known for a bunch of lacrosse players from Duke raping a black girl – were purposefully designed to boost his campaign for district attorney."

I recently saw an old movie with our grandson. The "villan" said, "you children believe everything you see."
Yes.
Children can tell The Truth from lies instantaneously.


I refuse to associate with communists, criminals and liars. "Birds of a feather flock together" was good advice given to me by my mother and grandmother. The message was: stay away from bad people--they only want to get you into trouble and divert attention from their own behavior.

Guilt by Association

One poster tried to minimize Hillary Clinton's statements that are clearly communist. So, let me "come clean."

I am Guilty of being:

1. A Boy Scout because I took the Scout Oath and Law and was an Eagle Scout.
2. A patriot because I took the oath to defend the US Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
3. A Husband and heterosexual, because I was married in a Church and remain married.
4. A Republican because I believe that government closest to the people is best and more representative of those governed.
5. A College graduate because I attended and was graduated (yes, Dr. Savage, I remembered the proper term) three times.
6. A citizen because I pay taxes, vote, and have served on nine jury pools and answered my country in 1969.
7. A member and deacon of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church because I profess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
8. An honest person because I tell The Truth to those who understand that language.
9. An American because I not only believe in our Republic based on democratic ideals, but exercise them.
10. An educator because I taught for twenty-nine years during which I encouraged all students to learn and participate.

Guilty is a misnomer unless one believes that the above associations carry a bad connotation. I believe in freedom of association. Being a communist is not illegal in the USA. One can register as a communist, campaign on that ticket (there was one in New York City during the 1960s I think, but you can call me on this), and vote for a communist. That was not my point. My point remains to all who campaign----tell The Truth so we can vote accordingly. Stop trying to mis-lead voters and lie about your true convictions and agendas.
