Illegal Discrimination rears it's ugly head
It is alive and well in the USA. I encountered it myself last week.
Have you ever heard these phrases:
"We have never had one of those people apply before."
"We aren't sure our clients would come back if they saw one in the room."
"You can put in an application."
"Thank you for your application, but you are overqualified."
Any guesses?

What? YOU?
Amy-- Close, but I was confronted by a larger class of people.
Yes it does exist in this country we have yet to complete throw out our notions of people. sterotypes/racism really upset me
c-dell,
Racism. No. Try again.
If you are referring to any perceived racism against "people of color", that discussion is a dead issue. For certain peoples. But some still play the race card.

But this post was not about race.
Military
anonymous-- No. Illegal discrimination is that which is based upon one's accident of birth. Remember all the cries about illegal discrimination based upon one's race? Chooising to join the military and defend our freedoms is a choice like choosing to kill a baby, or engage in dangerous sexual activities with same sex person, or to use drugs.
