FDR and 1984
FDR and 1984
We all know that FDR had polio during WW II, but the press kept this fact from the public and the world. He also spoke the following words in white and the rest is from a forwarded email:
Yesterday, December 7, 1941-- a date which will live in infamy--the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked. One elderly woman read the words aloud:With confidence in our armed forces, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph. But as she read, she suddenly turned angry. "Wait a minute," she said, "they left out the end of the quote. They left out the most important part. Roosevelt ended the message with "so help us God.'" Her husband said, "You are probably right. We're not supposed to say things like that now."
What the press and the PC people are now trying to do is to put a veil back on words he and other national leaders spoke, especially their references to God. This "newspeak" that was introduced in the book 1984 is deception by omission, which is a lie. Walter Duranty was guilty of this type of deception which covered the killing of seven million Ukranians by Joseph Stalin.

The MSM wouldn't know THE TRUTH if it hit them in the face.
The history revisionists will soon be taking God out of the very constitution.
All the more reason to fight leftist organizations like the NEA!
Good one, Sarge!
They continue to get away with this type of revisionism. I'm not sure who they think they are helping, but it's not us.
Chief,
This type of deliberate editing is happening all the time. Once, I had a complaint about playing a recording of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech to my students because a parent thought that it was too "religious". Unfortunately, there are many who have been brainwashed to believe that any mention of religion in the public square ought to be forbidden and is inappropriate. When you explain to them the religious speech is protected under the
First Amendment and part of the "marketplace of ideas" they look at you with a blank, bovine stare. Hopefully, over time, this can be reversed if we all just start interjecting religion back into public discourse.
The good old soldiers embodied patriotism. Those guys are awesome.
re: "deception by omission" - I'm reminded of Eason Jordan, CNN’s EX Chief News Executive who for years did not report the atrocities by Saddam against the people of Iraq. It was more important to him for CNN to keep their Bagdad office open than to report the truth. Had Eason Jordan reported the truth Saddam might have been removed sooner. 'Pure speculation', I know but...
Yuri Bezmenov gave a series of interviews in 1984 regarding the Soviet demoralization program for western countries.
Search his name on youtube for the videos.
